Cooking with Essential Oils

In times of stress look to your health with real food

A lot has happened in the last year and it has been stressful to say the least.

It has been shown that stress plays a major role in diseases and illnesses, and in some cases, is THE cause. If you lose your health you may lose a lot more than your health. If you become sick and miss work not only do you lose out on the income (unless you are salaried or have paid sick days available) but you also have the expense of going to the doctor, the expense of the doctors visit and any medicine that is prescribed. That is if it isn’t too serious.

If it is really serious you may have insurance co-pays for hospital stays, lab tests and a host of other out of pocket expenses. Your insurance company may even deny coverage - it happens quite often - for things that should be covered.

So take the time and make a little effort to be proactive in your health. Make sure you are eating nutritious food (local organic if possible and unprocessed - learn to make the commonly consumed things such as bread, I will have a great bread recipe up on YourWebReference very soon, and noodles, grow your own herbs and vegetables if possible), make sure that your house (and your family stay clean - but don’t go overboard with the disinfection routine as that could make matters worse when it hits), get plenty of exercise (forget the tube for a few hours a day and get outside to breathe the air and drink in the sun).

If you can’t find good quality local organic (the “official” working definition has changed over the last few years and is still changing - so be suspicious of companies like General Mills and the USDA certified organic designation - get to know your source) consider places like VitalChoice and U.S. Wellness Meats. Evelyn and I have spent many years looking for the best quality sources for food and these two are top notch for seafood and meats as well as butter and berries.

The benefits of eating good quality food are that you can eat less and still feel satisfied AND you don't need to do a lot of fancy, time consuming cooking techniques to get a great tasting meal. Although you still can, if you want to.

I just received a special offer from VitalChoice:
